Armen Martirosyan accuses Armenian authorities of “foul play”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian authorities submitted 2 bills on amendments to Armenian Electoral Code to the consideration of the Venice Commission.

The authorities are “playing foul” falsely reporting the opposition’s participation in the development of bills in question to Venice Commission, Heritage parliamentary group member Armen Martirosyan stressed.

As he noted at parliamentary briefing, members of Heritage informed the Venice Commission on the fact above. “However, heritage is ready to participate in the development of draft laws, if the work yields positive results.”

“Should the Venice Committee pass a positive resolution on the legal initiatives discussed, Heritage will accuse the Committee on promotion of Armenia’s non-fulfillment of its international obligations,” Heritage leader Stepan Safaryan stressed.
