Paris will never renounce OSCE MG co-chairmanship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Paris will never will renounce its co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group and any supposition about possible replacement of France by Germany is beneath criticism, an Armenian expert said.

“France has a profound influence on Brussels. It is independent both in EU and NATO formats. It’s also a UN permanent member and the only European country with nuclear potential,” deputy director of Caucasus Institute Sergey Minasyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

“Thanks to France’s mediation, the Russian-Georgian war was stopped in 2008,” he reminded.

Earlier, Azerbaijani political analyst Mubariz Ahmedoglu stated in Baku that the European Union can replace France by Germany as the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing country.
