DEPUTIES DEMANDED TO MOVE NAIRI HOUNANIAN TO THE JAIL OF THE MINISTRY OF DOMESTIC AFFAIRS

The question of expediency of being the main defendant of the act of terrorism, taken in October 27 1999, Nairi Hounanian in the jail of the Ministry of Domestic Affairs is on the agenda of the temporary Commission of the Parliament of RA which will be heard today evening. The initiatives of that suggestion were Stepan Zakarian, Khoren Sarkisian, Grigor Haroutounian and Kgukas Ulikhanian, which are consider that Hounanian must keep in the jail of the Ministry of Domestic Affairs. There were presented Hounanian's depositions, as the main arguments, that he has meetings with the representatives of the secret service of the Ministry of National Security Karen Parounakian in September 1999 (three month before act of terrorism), during which he agreed to cooperate with the members of MNS. The opponents of this initiative understand that it will be more difficult to guarantee Hounanian's security in the jail of the MDA.

It is necessary to take into consideration that temporary Commission has the only right to presents to the Parliament its conclusion, and the Parliament in its turn can only apply for corresponding departments.
