Lernik Alexanyan: idea of bicameral parliament needs to be discussed nationwide

PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of the Republican Party of Armenia parliamentary group Lernik Alexanyan said that the idea of a bicameral parliament creation should be discussed nationwide.

“There is an idea, which needs to be discussed in detail,” Alexanyan told a press conference, commenting on the recent statement of Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan.

Alexanyan noted that the matter has been discussed neither by the Republican Party nor the National Assembly yet.

He added that the idea of creating an all-Armenian institution, which would unite Armenian citizens, as well as Armenians of Artsakh and the Diaspora, is not a new one and was voiced already in 1999.
