ANC to press for punishment of those guilty of March 2008 events

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the ongoing rally in Yerevan, board chairman of the Armenian National Movement (ANM) Aram Manukyan said that “we will not calm down, unless we turn the page of the March 1-2, 2008, events ourselves.”

According to Manukyan, all those guilty of the March 1-2, 2008, tragic events must be punished.

Former Armenian Deputy Minister of Defense Andranik Kocharyan noted for his part that the Armenian authorities for the first time opened fire upon their own people on March 1-2, 2008. He urged servicemen to remember that the army “has no internal enemy,” accusing former Defense Minister of Armenia Mikael Harutyunyan of giving the start to development of a plan on protection of the “ruling regime” in February 2008.
