  No Armenians among victims of quake and tsunami in Japan March 11, 2011 - 21:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - No Armenians suffered in the earthquake that hit Japan on March 11. Spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that currently there are 30Armenian citizens in Japan. “We keep in touch with the citizens. They are out of danger,” said Balayan. A massive tsunami triggered by Japan's most powerful earthquake in nearly a century on March 11 wrought devastation in northeast coastal Japan, sweeping away houses, ships and cars and set ablaze several buildings, killing over 300 people. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
