A U.S. Senior State Department Official says: "What we're working on very much is the overall resolution of the Karabakh problem".He said this at a special briefing in Washington, answering the question, if there was going to be made any clear distinction between Karabakh and the other six occupied regions of Azerbaijan. At the same time he noted that the territorial issues were the principal ones, because "a sizable portion of Azerbaijan is currently in the hands of Armenia." Besides, the question of the future political status of that region and the return of displaced people to where they had lived before are of principal nature, he said.
