MIRCEA GEOANA: OSCE MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS APPROVE THE PARISIAN TALKS

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, March 3. /Mediamax/. OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Foreign Minister of Romania Mircea Geoana completed on March 2 his 2-day official visit to Azerbaijan.

As the Azeri "Trend" agency reports, Geoana stated at a press conference in Baku that the heads of the OSCE Minsk Group countries-co-chairs approve the upcoming meeting of the Armenian and Azeri presidents in Paris and render big political and economic support to the process of the conflict resolution.

Commenting on the question whether the OSCE will make any proposal on Karabakh conflict settlement on March 4-5 in Paris, Mircea Geoana said that there is some information, inspiring optimism.

In reply to the question of Azeri journalists - what is the gradual change of OSCE proposals not in favor of Azerbaijan conditioned by, in particular the "common state" concept - Geoana said: "Both the sides should make serious compromises to settle the conflict. To achieve these compromises and a resolution to the dispute a political courage is necessary.

According to him, the lessons of history indicate that no one loses and nobody wins when long-term peace is achieved. --0--
