Foreign Minister of Armenia Vardan Oskanian met on March 1 within the frames of his visit to London with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, Robin Cook. During the meeting the ministers discussed the present stage of Karabakh conflict settlement and the perspectives of the Parisian meeting of the Armenian and Azeri presidents. Oskanian and Cook also touched upon the present status of Armenian-British relations and the possibilities of their enlargement.As Mediamax was informed in the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry, Vardan Oskanian arrived on March 1 in London to take part in the opening ceremony of the "Treasures of the Ark" exhibition, dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of adoption of Christianity as state religion in Armenia. The exhibition, at the opening ceremony of which the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II was present, was organized by joint efforts of Vache and Tamara Manukians and "Manukian" charity fund. Foreign Minister of Great Britain Robin Cook opened the exhibition, dedicated to the Armenian culture. Armenian Foreign Minister introduced on March 2 the newly appointed Ambassador of Armenia to United Kingdom, Vahram Abadjian, to the Armenian community of Great Britain. --0-- ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
