Ashton, Buzek to visit Armenia in May

PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek and EU Foreign Policy chief Catherine Ashton will visit Armenia in May.

“My visit offered a good opportunity not only to assess the work carried out and also to think over the reforms implementation of which is essential for conduction of fair and free parliamentary election, in line with the European standards,” European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule told journalists in Yerevan on April 29.

He also informed that Armenia and the European Union will soon sign a declaration to confirm Yerevan’s willingness to continue the course of reform, what will become an additional stimulus to strengthen democracy and rule of law.
