420 MILLION DRAMS ARE SPENT THIS YEAR IN NKR ON BIRTH RATE STIMULATION PROGRAM

PanARMENIAN.Net - 12.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. 420 million drams were allotted this year from NKR state budget for the state program of birth rate stimulation and improvement of large families' material state, NKR minister for social security Lenston Gulian told Mediamax.

The minister said that NKR government has established a new privilege system in October 1999, which envisages to open purpose deposit accounts in the amount of 700-3000 U.S. dollars in the National Bank of the republic for every third and the next child born in a family.

By December 1, 2000 the number of such accounts has reached 581, and 65 more are to be opened in December. -0-
