CONCERT IN NOTRE DAME TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 13 CONNECTED WITH THE 1700TH ANNIVERSARY OF ADOPTION OF CHRISTIANITY AS STATE RELIGION IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - 05.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. A concert dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as the state religion of Armenia will take place on February 13 in one of Europe's oldest religious centers, the cathedral of Notre Dame.

As Mediamax was informed in the state commission for preparation of festivities, religious music by European and Armenian classical composers will be performed by the Armenian State Chamber Choir under the direction of Hovhannes Chekidjian.

In March 2001 a Komitas Quartet Concert will be held at a concert hall in Washington DC sponsored by the World Bank. -0-
