ARMENIA'S MEMBERSHIP TO COUNCIL OF EUROPE WILL FORM NECESSARY CONDITION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE STATE

"Starting from 1996, the very year when Armenia applied for membership to the Council of Europe, our state has carried out a successive and tensed work for improving its democratic system and reforming legislative field," Zohrab Mnatsakanian, the head of presidential department for foreign relations stated in his interview to Mediamax.

According to Mnatsakanian today all necessary preconditions are formed based on which the Council of Europe "announces that Armenia is ready to become a full member of this organization.

Mr. Mnatsakanian underlined that Armenia's entry to the Council of Europe will create favorable conditions for economic development of the state. "Armenia is becoming a more predictable economic partner for the world community that in its turn will contribute to stirring up of foreign investments," Mantsakanian said. -0--
