PEOPLE'S PARTY OF ARMENIA SUPPORTS PROGRAM OF THE GOVERNMENT, ARMENIAN PARLIAMENTRIAN SAID

Taking a political responsibility to the voters the People's party of Armenia supports the governmental program which comes from the main provisions of the Unity bloc, the Secretary of the Unity Parliamentary faction, deputy of the Armenian National Assembly Vardan Mkrtchian said in his interview to Mediamax.

The Unity bloc, which forms the majority of the parliament, consists of the representatives of People's party and Republican party.

As to the position of the People's Party as of the contribution to the activity of the government, according to Mkrtchian each state body has to be responsible for its activity, and therefore the government has to be answerable for its activity. At the same time if the activity of the government is directed to the implementation of the Unity program, "there is no doubt that we will support the members of the government."

According to Mkrtchian the problem with efficient activity of the Unity bloc was rather actual recently, but as a result of the dialog between the Republican and People's parties "a tangible progress is observed." The deputy stressed that soon the Unity bloc will resume its activity "the results of which will influence the activity of the whole parliament." -0--
