SUM OF ARMENIAN DEBT FOR RUSSIAN GAS DECREASES

PanARMENIAN.Net - 13.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The sum of the Armenian debt to the Russian Federation for the gas supply has decreased from $10.7 mln to $7.7 mln, the Armenian Energy Minister Karen Galustian said today.

He stressed that Armenia intends to minimize the size of the debt. The Minister informed that from June of 2000 Armenia does not accumulate the current debts for gas. As to the goods debt at $7.7 mln, according to Galustian the government intends to cover it until the end of 2000. --0--
