THE OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT OF ARMENIA TO THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION STARTS ON SEPTEMBER 24

PanARMENIAN.Net - 22.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The President of Armenia Robert Kocharian will leave for the Russian Federation for an official visit on September 24, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press office of the President of Armenia.

Ministers of defense, foreign affairs, coordination of industrial infrastructures, industry and trade, energy, transport and communications are included in the composition of the delegation.

During the official visit Robert Kocharian will meet with the president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, prime minister Mikhayil Kasyanov, head of the Federation Council of RF, Yegor Stroyev, speaker of the State Duma of RF Gennady Seleznyov. Armenian-Russian talks in an enlarged composition will also be held.

Presidents of Armenia and Russia will sign Ally Cooperation Agreement. Agreements in defense, information, energy, public health and cultural spheres are to be signed between the governments of the two countries. An agreement of visa-free travel regime of the citizens of Armenia and Russia will be signed.

In Moscow President Kocharian will also meet with the foreign minister of RF Igor Ivanov, Russian Security Council secretary, Sergey Ivanov. The meeting of the President of Armenia with the representatives of Russian media and Armenian Diaspora are also planned.

On September 27 Robert Kocharian will leave from Moscow for Saratov to meet with the governor of Saratov region Dmitry Ayatskov, representatives of business circles, as well as Armenian Diaspora.

The delegation will return to Yerevan on September 28. -0-
