"Armenia has always been Russia's reliable friend and ally", reads the congratulation message of the president of Russia Vladimir Putin, addressed to the Armenian President Robert Kocharian in connection with the 9th anniversary of Armenia's declaration of independence.

"Fraternal relations between our nations, which have together overcome serious hardships, lie in the basis of the friendship between our countries. I'm sure that the strengthening of the Russian-Armenian strategic partnership will help broaden multilateral and reciprocally beneficial cooperation between our countries, as well as strengthen stability and trust in the Caucasus. I hope that your upcoming visit to Russia will start a new and more qualitative level of our bilateral relations", the message said, reported the press office of the Armenian president to MEDIAMAX.
