YEREVAN TO ASSIST ARMENIAN HISTORICAL MONUMENTS RESEARCH

PanARMENIAN.Net - Though the majority of archtectonic-hitorical monuments of the Armenian people are beyond the borders of the Armenian territory, it does not mean that other nations should make our history, as reported by Arminfo agency, Armenian parliament vice-speaker Vahan Hovhannisian stated. In this connection he noted that from now on Armenian parliament is going to render any kind of assistance to the Organization for Research of Armenian Architecture Monuments (RAAM) acting in Iran. As in his turn, RAAM head, scientist Armen Akhnazarian informed, if in Azerbaijan and Turkey the monuments of Armenian architecture are being destroyed, so in Georgia they are arrogated to the local culture. Due to his testimony, Armenian monuments are kept properly in Iran only. As an example he mentioned the case when a half-ruined Armenian church in Iranian province of Atrapatakan was carefully transferred and rebuilt in another place, as a reservoir was being constructed at its previous location. To note, the RAAM subsidiaries work in Armenia, the US and Germany to date.
