CLOSING ARMENIAN NUCLEAR POWER PLANT INCLUDED IN US PROGRAM FOR STRUGGLE AGAINST MASS DESTRUCTION WEAPONS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The US has included the issue of liquidation of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant reactor in its 2004 program for struggle against mass destruction weapons. As reported by "Arminfo" agency referring to "CenterAN," the US Department of State report notes that the plant reactor has become dangerous not only for the ecology of the region, but also for the US security, as "international terrorists can possess the materials and technologies of the Armenian reactor" any moment. At that the report specifies the amount of funds to be spent on assisting Armenia to close the reactor.
