ARMENIA'S PARTICIPATION IN KARABAKH TALKS IMPARTS WEIGHT AND EFFICIENCY TO PROCESS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The format of the Armenian and Azeri presidents' bilateral meetings over settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will be either maintained or specified after the presidential election in Azerbaijan, press secretary of the Armenian president Ashot Kocharian told journalists today. Touching on the issue of participation of the Nagorno Karabakh party in the negotiation process over the conflict settlement, the spokesman noted that it would be desirable. At that he emphasized that OSCE Minsk Group Russian co-chair Yuri Merzlyakov holds the same opinion. At the same time, in his words, the presence of Armenia at the talks imparts more weight and efficiency to the process.
