ILHAM ALIYEV'S STAND ON KARABAKH NOT COMPLETELY CLEAR YET

PanARMENIAN.Net - The position of newly elected Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the Nagorno Karabakh problem is not completely clear yet, Armenian FM Vardan Oskanian told journalists today. However, in his words, the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders that took place in Geneva in the end of last year could be viewed as encouraging from the aspect of the possibility of continuing the dialogue. At the same time the minister noted that despite the efforts exerted by Armenia and the international community, Azerbaijan in 2003 still abided by its stand of denying on the issue of interaction with Armenia within the frames of the regional projects, binding such a position with the presence of the Karabakh conflict.
