OSCE REPRESENTATIVE ACQUAINTING WITH SITUATION ROUND KARABAKH

PanARMENIAN.Net - The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) wishes to possess more detailed information about the situation in the South Caucasus, OSCE PA chairman's special representative for Nagorno Karabakh Goran Lenmarker said during the meeting with Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian. He stated the acquaintance with the problems of the region, especially the ones connected with the Nagorno Karabakh conflict as one of the goals of his visit. Recognizing that OSCE PA does not replace OSCE Minsk Group activities, which immediately deals with the settlement of the conflict, the parties noted that the Assembly could create a favorable atmosphere for resolving the problem. EU-South Caucasus and the prospects of the European integration of the countries of the region, which could positively influence upon the settlement of the conflict available there, were as well focused.
