Chinese “forget” to mark Azerbaijan on globe, putting Armenia instead

PanARMENIAN.Net - On the globe a resident of Baku Asadob Mehbaliyev bought for his third grader son, Azerbaijan was marked as the territory of Armenia, ANS Press Azerbaijani agency reported.

“We got this globe in the market next to Narimanov metro station. We didn’t notice the mistake when buying the globe. Yesterday my son asked me, “why isn’t Azerbaijan on the globe?”. I looked closely and saw Armenia where Azerbaijan should have been marked,” Mehbaliyev explained.

It’s remarkable that on the China-manufactured globe, all the territories had their own names, while, instead of Azerbaijan, Armenia was indicated.

Apparently, the Chinese are principally opposed to seeing Azerbaijan on the model of planet Earth. In April 2009 the counterfeit globes were already withdrawn from sale. As it turned out later, the globes were purchased by a local manufacturer who stored the products in his warehouse.
