Armenia intends to organize a rating boxing tournament

PanARMENIAN.Net - Management of the Armenian Boxing Federation on December 28 summarised the outcomes of 2009. According to David Tatevosyan , Director General of Armenian Boxing Federation, federation's budget in 2009 reached AMD 490 million. Meanwhile, in 2010, the state funding of the federation will amount to AMD 110 million.





Recall that in 2009 Armenia hosted the world boxing championship among juniors. AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu, in his annual report noted that the Armenian Boxing Federation held championships at the highest level.



Armenia will host 3 international tournaments in 2010. The Cup of the Armenian Olympic Committee President Gagik Tsarukyan, international boxing tournaments after Eduard Aristakesyan and Vachik Mkrtchyan will be held in Armenia.



"We have submitted AIBA an application to held one of 4 ranking tournaments in Armenia in 2012," Derenik Gabrielyan said.
