Azerbaijan’s obsession with wishful thinking has gone as far as to distort the principled approach of the EU, Nalbandian said.

This sets the joint policy priorities for the coming years, in line with the new Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

“Armenia remains committed to the joint efforts with the European Union in the framework of the EaP,” Nalbandian said.

Armenia and the European Union will soon start negotiations on visa liberalization, European Commissioner Johannes Hahn said.

"We do understand that the EU will need an internal coordination process, which we are sure will not take long," Nalbandian said.

Deputy Foreign Minister Karen Nazaryan expressed readiness to further discuss issues of bilateral interest with the Netherlands.

"The next meeting on the issue is slated for December, set to be held in Brussels," Deputy Foreign Minister Karen Nazaryan said.

The negotiations encompass such areas as trade of goods and services, trade protection measures, technical barriers to trade.

“We hope that an early resolution to the conflict will open new economic opportunities for both Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Switalksi said.
