"Those who still have hesitations on opening the energy chapter with Turkey, are actually using this chapter as a threat card, which is absolutely not nice," Turkish Prime Minister said.
“The vote needs to be followed by other much-needed reforms to address the remaining priorities in the area of fundamental rights, such as freedom of expression and freedom of religion,” Stefan Fuele said.
"If the question had to be decided today, Turkey would not be able to join and the European Union would not be able to incorporate Turkey," Westerwelle stated.
