American company to launch first Azerbaijani satellite in 2010

PanARMENIAN.Net - The results of the bid for launching the first artificial satelite have been published.



The winner, American Orbital Sciences Corporation, will launch the first Azerbaijani satellite into the orbit in 2010.



Bid participants were such companies as ThalesAlenia Space and EADS/Astrium (France), Space Systems/Loral Inc. and Orbital Sciences Corporation (US), as well as Sumitomo Corporation/ISS Reshetnev Japanese-Russian consortium, Bakililar.AZ reports.
