Arthur Baghdasaryan: Armenia strives for boosting cooperation with EU

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 19, Secretary of the RA National Security Council (NSC) Arthur Baghdasaryan received Gunnar Wiegand, the European Commission’s Director for EasternEurope, South Caucasus and Central Asia, and Head of the European Commission delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Raul de Luzenberger.

The parties discussed negotiations on signing of Association Agreement between Armenia and the EU. Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that Armenia strives for boosting cooperation with the EU, attaching importance to creation of a subcommittee on freedom, justice and security.

Besides, the parties noted that signing of the agreement on a free trade zone between Armenia and the EU is also of keen importance.

The parties also referred to training of qualified employees for implementation of provisions of the association agreement, the RA NSC press service reported.
