Azeri plaintiffs fail to disprove Armenian side’s arguments in European Court of Human Rights

PanARMENIAN.Net - The advocates of Azeri plaintiffs, as well as representatives of Azeri government, acting as a third party at the hearing for the case Chiragov and Others against Armenia, were unable to disprove Armenian side’s arguments.

As the representative of Armenian government Gevorg Kostanyan stated upon completion of the hearing at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), “Azeri side’s assertions were too emotional, failing to provide any grounds to support circumstances described in their claim.”

On September 15, the ECHR hosted hearings for cases entitled Chiragov and Others against Armenia and Sargsyan against Azerbaijan.

The cases indicated pertained to Karabakh conflict, specifically, the citizens’ rights to property.
