Committee on Christians’ affairs formed in Iraq

PanARMENIAN.Net - Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has formed a special state committee for Christians designed to monitor the situation and to assist Iraqi Christians in solving their problems.

The President also urged better protection for Christian churches and areas where Christians live.

Earlier, Mr Talabani proposed creation of a Christian province in Iraq, citing the fact that in some regions the followers of this religion are the majority, The Voice of Russia reported.
