Azeri experts present “their vision of post-conflict settlement in Karabakh”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Having felt the uselessness of its military rhetoric, Azerbaijan decided to try a “different approach” to Karabakh issue.

On Friday, March 18 in Washington, a group of Azerbaijani experts presented “their vision of post-conflict settlement in Karabakh.”

As Jahangir Hajiyev, chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan, noted, the business plan presented might serve as an example for other post-conflict territories.

“The experts said the rehabilitation of the whole territory will cost approximately US $28,4 million,” he said, adding “Azerbaijan has a huge economic potential to handle the financial aspect of the rehabilitation.”

“This is a lot of money for our region, and at his very particular moment only Azerbaijan can actually handle it,” Eldar Ismailov, founder and chairman of the Institute of Strategic Studies of the Caucasus (ISSC) remarked.

However, Azeri experts “forgot” that these territories have no relevance to Azerbaijan, also having failed to take into account that the Republic of Artsakh is actively developing in economic, military and governmental sectors, with Azeri blockade as the only thing that hampers its full development.
