Sargsyan, Tadic say no alternative to Karabakh conflict peaceful resolution

PanARMENIAN.Net - As part of his official visit to Serbia, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with Serbian President Boris Tadic.

Sargsyan briefed Tadic on details of peace process for the Karabakh conflict settlement.

The two men agreed that there is no alternative to a peace resolution of the Karabakh conflict and that the threat and use of force are unacceptable from the international law perspective.

Sargsyan and Tadic also discussed the Armenian-Serbian relations, saying there are great opportunities for the development of political dialogue, cooperation in trade, economic and cultural fields.

The Presidents signed two intergovernmental agreements on air communication and visa regime abolishment for persons with diplomatic or service passport, as well as an action plan for the Armenian and Serbian ministries of cultures for 2011-2013.

During the visit, Sargsyan discussed with Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic the development of economic relations between the two countries and increase in trade turnover.

Besides, Sargsyan met with Speaker of the Serbian parliament Slavica Djukic Dejanovic to discuss inter-parliamentary cooperation.
