Armenian football fans got a dream named EURO 2012
Vardan Minasyan achieved one of the most important goals – he formed a squad, who show a real team play in the ground.
For the first time in its history, the Armenian national team has a real chance to fight through to the final stage of the European Championship.

Beating Andorra and Slovakia 3:0 and 4:0 respectively, Armenia made a huge move forward. If no one doubted the victory over Andorra, so the win over Slovakia was a triumph for Armenian fans across the globe.

During 1.5 years of his coaching, the 37-year-old Vardan Minasyan achieved one of the most important goals – he formed a squad, who show a real team play in the ground. But he is not going to rest on his laurels.

From the very beginning, Minasyan set his men a task to win and show a beautiful football. The recent matches did prove the progress: Armenians demonstrate the most spectacular style of play in Group B of the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying round, even in the games against Russia and Ireland, which were lost.

After 8 matches, Armenia has 14 points with 17 goals scored, stirring up hope for greater results and giving fans a dream named EURO-2012.

The coach, who has been praised for excellent job over the past week, said he sees his team in the European Championship. Captain Sargis Hovsepyan thinks the real struggle is just beginning. Halfback Artur Yedigaryan believes that the two latest victories have strengthened the team spirit and inspired for further wins. Midfielder Henrik Mkhitaryan promised to take every chance and spare no effort to win.

So, we have to wait just a bit more than a month to watch the qualifiers against Macedonia and Ireland, which will determine those to continue striding towards the EURO 2012.
