Turkey’s Anatolia news agency announced plans to begin reporting news in Kurdish and 10 other languages by 2015, Today’s Zaman reported.

Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç announced the 92-year-old state-run news service's plans to expand its coverage before its 100th birthday during a meeting in Ankara, telling the press that Anatolia will begin publishing in Kurdish in the near future, and in Farsi, Russian and eight other languages by 2015.

Anatolia agency chief Kemal Öztürk said the group will begin publishing in Kurdish “by the end of the year,” while saying it would also soon open an office in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku to begin reporting in Russian.

The Anatolia news agency presently publishes in Turkish, English, Arabic and Bosnian.
