Paper: ANC has no candidate to rival Prosperous Armenia leader

The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) did not nominate any candidate in the constituency where chairman of Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan is going to run for the parliament.

In general, the relations between the ANC and Prosperous Armenia have seen much warming recently, Zhoghovurd paper claims.

In a conversation with the paper’s reporter Aram Manukyan, chairman of Armenian National Movement board (ANC core force) commented on ANC's decision not to nominate a candidate in this constituency.

“We just did not have any suitable nominee. Besides, this is not the only such constituency; we have no candidate in other three constituencies either.

Instead, we nominated people elsewhere. Generally, we have only one constituency which is namely the Republic of Armenia,” Manukyan told the paper.
