Pakistani aircraft with 127 on board crashes

A Pakistani passenger jet with 127 people on board crashed Friday, April 20 as it was landing at an airport near Islamabad, officials said, according to AP.

Defense Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhar told The Associated Press the Bhoja Air jet crashed Friday, just a few kilometers (miles) away from the airport in Islamabad.

He says the aircraft was traveling from the country's largest city of Karachi to the Pakistani capital when it crashed.

He says the plane was in flames and rescue teams were at the scene.
