RALLY IN SUPPORT OF CURRENT ARMENIAN AUTHORITIES BEING ORGANIZED IN YEREVAN
The Progressive Party of Armenia (PPA) will hold a rally to support the current Armenian authorities in the Liberty Square of Yerevan June 8. As party leader Tigran Urikhanian told journalists, the measure aims at calling the country population to sustain stability in the country and to display confidence to the current authorities in the person of President of Armenia Robert Kocharian. Urikhanian emphasized that the rally is the commencement of actions called to put an end to the "traitorous opposition activities", which does not promote the interests of Armenia in the European structures. In his words, a range of parties will support the PPA in holding the meeting, specifically, the Renewed Communist Party, Mission Free Hayk and Women of Armenia. The PPA leader emphasized that the party acts without any financial assistance from the authorities or the ruling coalition of parties.
