Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan (69kg) lifted 136 kg in snatch and 160 in clean & jerk at the Weightlifting World Junior Сhampionships underway in Guatemala.

The Armenian participant ranked 10th with a total of 296kg in the double event, while China's Chao Wu took the lead in the tournament with a total of 342kg.

Another representative of Armenia, Gor Minasyan(+105kg), silver winner of Junior Olympics will perform on May 18.
