All South Caucasus Railways (SCR) branches of production are preparing for passenger traffic in summer season. The railway carries out repairs and inspections of passenger cars and locomotives, checks the security level on trains.

In particular, until May 27 the depot repairs and paints 31 passenger cars, 12 electric trains, air conditioning system will be strengthened in 16 cars, 7 carriages of Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan track will reopened, which have passed overhaul in Voronezh.

The serving staff will also have trainings.

Within the framework of preparation for passenger traffic in summer season, repairs will be carried out in Ayrum-Gyumri, Gyumri-Yerevan, Masis-Yeraskh, Kanaker-Shorzha sites.

SCR will run the firm’s passenger train Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan on June 15, with an electric train starting in the direction of Lake Sevan on July1, SCR press service reported.
