Nokia has updated its Maps application for Windows Phones to version 2.0, bringing several interesting new features, most notably favorites synchronization, Mashable reported.
On Nokia Maps, you were already able to save your favorite places on the map. Now, you can also automatically have them synced with maps.nokia.com, across various platforms (Lumia, Belle or Nokia N9) and with the mobile web version of the maps, m.maps.nokia.com, which works on iOS and Android devices.
Another improvement is the ability to add photos to place descriptions, as well as post reviews directly from a Lumia device.
Finally, in addition to being able to pin places or place categories to the start screen, you can now also pin to start directions to a place, either on foot, by car or by public transport.
Nokia Maps 2.0 is available for all Lumia devices in the Nokia collection section over at the Windows Phone Marketplace.
