Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Yuri Khachaturov is convinced that the events in Beslan cannot repeat in Armenia. In his words, his confidence is based on the fact that Armenia, unlike Russia, is a homogeneous country in respect of its national composition, and "we will somehow settle our problems ourselves." Y. Khachaturov also considers repetition of such events being ruled out in Armenia due to law-enforcement bodies having strengthened preventive measures.
