ARMENIAN DIASPORA INFLUENCES SHEVARDNADZE TO OPEN ABKHAZIAN RAILWAY, GEORGIAN FORMER DEFENSE MINISTER SAID
The influential Armenian diaspora abroad influences Georgian president Eduard Shevardnadze and he will have to agree with the resumption of the rail communication via the Abkhazian territory. Today the opinion was expressed by former defense minister of Georgia Tengiz Kitovani, who noted that the restoration of transport communication there "can only be favorable to Armenia." In his words, as reported by "Mediamax" agency, the agreements between the Russian and Georgian presidents on returning Georgian refugees simultaneously to the opening of the Abkhazian railway "are equal to naught."
