AZERI DAILY SHOWED GEORGIA HER PLACE
Touching upon the "transport war" between Georgia and Azerbaijan, Zerkalo daily writes: "such demarches make the acting Georgian leadership, whose giddiness with success is obvious, perceive the significance of Azerbaijan. Official Tbilisi should remember that for the West Georgia is a transit country for the transportation of energy sources and various cargoes while Azerbaijan appears as the key link of the transport corridor, which connects the East with the West. However Georgians seem to have forgotten this common truth. Now they remembered it and will hardly forget in the near future". Noting that the "transport war", which has been lasting for already 2 months and seems to have no end, Zerkalo without hiding its satisfaction notes that in the issue of unleashing the "transport war" with Georgia "official Baku was pressed from outside but not by Georgia only. Taking into account the carte blanche the present leadership received from Europe after the "rose revolution", one can suppose that the leading European states and the US would hardly approve Azerbaijan". Thus, the daily drops a hint that the Russian Federation is backing Azerbaijan. As journalists add, "it was no secret that the cargoes were arriving in Armenia via Azerbaijan and Georgia"
