ARMENIANS OF NOVOROSSIYSK ACCUSE LAW ENFORCERS OF NOT KEEPING PROMISE ON PROVIDING SECURITY
The law enforcement bodies of Kuban did not keep their promise for providing security in the town and preventing the arrival of Cossacks from the neighboring with Novorossiysk regions, Yerkramas, the newspaper of Armenians of Russia says. As reported by Luys, the society of Armenian culture in Novorossiysk, the guarantees were given on March 22 at the special sitting presided by the Mayor. The calls to calm were addressed to the representatives of the Armenian and Greek communities as well as the Cossacks. However, according to a source, on the same evening about 100-200 Cossacks entered the town in buses and initiated disorders in the region of Tsemdolin. According to the same source, the Armenian community of Novorossiysk is going to appeal to the President of Russia and Armenia.
