Armenia’s 2013 state budget copied from last year’s one – paper

According to Haykakan Zhamanak daily, the majority of points in 2013 state budget were copied from the one from last year.

However, the paper said, some changes were made, specifically in the foreign policy section.

“Normalization of Turkish-Armenian ties without preconditions” was described as a priority in the 2012 state budget agenda. However, the clause was absent in the 2013 state budget. When asked for explanations, parliament vice speaker Shavarsh Kocharyan expressed surprise, noting that regardless of the fact that the clause was struck out the issue still remains a priority,” the paper said.

A number of questions come to mind here: why didn’t a priority clause make it to the state budget and why is the vice speaker unaware of the fact, it added.
