The current political situation and Armenia’s challenges stress the need of having a combat-ready army, President Serzh Sargsyan said.

The armed forces of Armenia are capable of extend security in the region and beyond. RA army will continue to be supplied with modern weaponry and materiel. Priority will be assigned to multifunctional complexes combining observation, detection, targeting and destruction systems. Hazing and intimidation of fellow servicemen have no place in the Armenian Armed Forces.

The army personnel will become most educated and professional,” President Sargsyan said at RPA 14th congress.
