GEORGIAN, AZERI AND TURKISH LEADERS TO DISCUSS BAKU-TBILISI-ERZRUM GAS PIPELINE BUILDING ISSUE
One of these days Georgian, Azeri and Turkish presidents are expected to meet to discuss issues of building the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum gas pipeline. Stated Georgian leader Eduard Shevardnadze, noting that the details of the meeting would become clear only this evening. As reported by "Mediamax" agency, according to an intergovernmental agreement, natural gas will arrive from "Shah-Deniz" Azeri deposit to Turkey by the beginning of 2005. 2 billion square meters of gas will be annually transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum gas pipeline at the initial stage, and the amount will increase up to 6.6 billion in 2008.
