TERRORISTS AND THEIR ARMS ARRIVE IN CHECHNYA FROM AZERI AND GEORGIAN TERRITORIES
Terrorists, money, arms and ammunition arrive in Chechnya from the territories adjoining Russia, most frequently from Georgia and Azerbaijan. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, Russian defense minister Sergey Ivanov said at an international forum on struggle against terrorism in Munich. In the minister's words, the Chechen gangs have in particular settled down in large cities of Georgia and are trying to take control over local companies engaged in international cargo transportation. Chechen structures have also managed to assume control over a number of drug and arms transportation enterprises, S.Ivanov noted. In his words, emissaries of pro-Chechen associations, in particular, those of "Muslim Brothers," which coordinate arm supplies to the bands, act there.
