During his upcoming visit to Brussels Armenian President Robert Kocharian will meet with High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana to discuss the issues referring to the constitutional referendum to be held in Armenia November 27, Mr. Solana's Press Secretary Cristina Gallach reported. She also said that "the European Union is going to strengthen relations with the South Caucasian states and the possibilities of high level meetings will be used for the purpose." "We are also interested to hear the opinion of President Kocharian on the neighbors and Armenia's relations with other states including Russia", Christina Gallach stated. Besides, she noted that the European Union has extremely negative attitude towards any statements on military settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. "We have many times stated that peaceful negotiations is the only way of settling the Karabakh conflict. Terms like "war" should be forbidden", Ms. Gallich stated, Mediamax reports.
