55% of Americans believe U.S. should help S. Korea in case of attack

The majority of Americans (55 percent) believe that the United States should use its military forces to help defend South Korea if it is attacked by North Korea, while 34% say it should not, a recent Gallup poll showed, according to The Jerusalem Post.

The poll was conducted on April 2-3 and included responses from 540 American adults.

Additionally, 43% believe that there's a likely chance North Korea will attack South Korea, while only 28% believe there's a likely chance it will attack the U.S. The majority of Americans (58%) do not think it is likely North Korea will attack the U.S.
